As we navigate ever-changing requirements from State and Local Officials plus new guidance on best practices from health experts, we will continue to evaluate and update these rules and restrictions.  Given the ever-changing guidance, these rules may be updated prior to opening.  Please look out for communications by email and on social media for updated rules.

The pool season is currently planned to run from June 20 – September 7 plus the following two weekends (September 11-13 and 19-21)

We are now accepting dues. The preferred method of payment is by check; you may drop off a check at the pool mailbox at 2 Herndon Ave.  You may also pay using PayPal ([email protected]).  If using PayPal, add 3% to your dues to cover transaction costs).   More information about paying by PayPal can be found below.

NOTE:  A signed waiver and acknowledgement of the COVID-related rules and restrictions must be completed before your membership can be activated. Click here for the waiver and here for the acknowledgement form.

As of June 8, 2020, the following are the rules established by the BRPA Board to be in effect for at least the period from June 20 through July 5.  All restrictions will be reevaluated after this period and are also subject to change during the period.

Pool Entrance Procedures

  • Daily health certifications will be required for all members entering the pool
  • To manage capacity limits,we may establishe a reservation system for two time slots daily.   
  • Members will be requested to sign in and sign out.

Use of Pool

  • Guests are not permitted at this time.  Babysitters and Midshipmen are allowed to attend the pool with a member.
  • Pool furniture will not be available for member use.  Members are requested to bring their own.  Umbrellas are an exception to this rule and will be provided upon request.
  • Pool toys are not permitted.
  • The Snack Bar will not be open.
  • The pool will be reserved for seniors and adult lap swimming from 10-11 am M, W, F.  No sign up is required.
  • Members may bring in their own food (please note that grills are temporarily unavailable).

Enhanced safety protocols for your safety and that of our guards.  These include:

  • Face coverings will be worn by guards at all times, except on the stand.  Members are urged to wear masks when not in the water.
    • Additional signage about social distancing and masks will be posted throughout.
    • Contact surfaces around the pool and throughout the facility will be thoroughly cleaned at least three times a day.   
    • Hand sanitizer will be provided.
    • Lost items will be stored through the end of the day and discarded at the close of each day.
