Young tots winter playgroup

Over the past few years, we’ve experienced a bit of a baby boom here in BR! Epic numbers of little people (under the age of 5) now reside here. Its amazing. As winter sets in, getting them all together for (much needed) in-house play-dates during these long, chilly months is nearly impossible with this volume.
So, a solution has been found! Meredith Van de Kamp has spearheaded a wonderful concept that has received approval by the BRCA.
January, February and March, every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, there will be a Bay Ridge playgroup from 3:30pm – 6:30pm at the Marina Clubhouse (as long as its not in use).
The idea is that parents & children are free to come & go as they please. Do note that this is not daycare, but is more of a play-date where parents/care providers can bring children to visit with each other, play, do some simple activities and bond with their neighborly buddies. If we have any warm days, we’ll open the doors up so they can run around outside, and if it snows, we’ll play in the snow and use the clubhouse for warming up!
Snacks are welcomed; since this will fall just before dinner time, we just ask that you don’t bring any sweets or candy to share. Snacks can include crackers, chips, veggie sticks/dip, cheese, edamame, fruit etc.
There will be a dinner solution offered–something simple like pizza–and will welcome any contributions there. We can play this by ear and see what makes the most sense, and how to make the most of this wonderful opportunity to keep our children happy & connected these winter months.
Every Bay Ridge child is welcome to attend, although these activities & focus are likely best suited for our 6 & under crew.
