One suspect has been arrested and linked directly to the recent burglaries in Bay Ridge and surrounding communities. Although he is in custody, the AAC Police Department wants to stress that the neighborhood still faces a threat due to the fact that there is yet another suspect that has not yet been apprehended.

All items that where found at the individual’s home have been returned to their owners, so if you have not heard from Officer Olds, unfortunately, it is unlikely that your items will be returned.

Please continue to be diligent about locking your vehicles, homes, and garages whenever you leave your home, as well as, each and every night!

Please also be advised that this threat could/usually increases in the spring and summer months.

Anne Arundel Police want to also stress that if you see anything that doesn’t seem right – do not intervene, just immediately call 911. The Police are happy to come out at any time. They will not stop at your residence if you do not want them to. Do not hesitate to call this emergency line.

Lastly, if you have any information – or security video from your residence that you are willing to submit to the case, please contact Detective Ottey at 410-222-1960- – Detective Ottey is in charge of the arrested suspect’s case.
