Watercraft Registration for Bay Ridge Beaches and Boat Racks

General Policy

BRCA requires registration of all boats on community beaches and boat racks in order to manage the commons area and minimize disturbance of the beach buffer zone, as required by Anne Arundel County.  The registration program also prevents unauthorized use of our beaches. Collected funds are used to maintain the quality of our beaches – beach clean-up, replace damaged sea grasses, etc.

All watercraft (canoes, kayaks, sailboats, catamarans, surfboards, windsurfers, stand-up paddleboards, inflatables, etc.) that are left on the community beaches and the pool and marina boat racks must be registered with the BRCA and have appropriate registration stickers.

It is highly recommended that registered watercraft on the beaches and in the racks be removed for safe keeping during the winter months.

How to Register Your Watercraft

Watercraft on Bay Ridge beaches and boat racks must have their registration renewed annually.  This includes paddle boards and inflatables.   Red and green boat stickers have expired and yellow stickers must be renewed by April 30, 2023 to avoid having your boat removed from beaches and boat racks.

Boat registration is available to BRCA members only.  To renew your boat registration or to register a new boat, complete the  and deliver the form along with cash or a check payable to the BRCA for the appropriate amount ($25 for each boat) to the following address:
