‘Down by the Bay’: a once-in-a-lifetime event.

It’s hard to believe—1999 marks the year our pool was opened. That’s 16 years of learning to swim. Friendships made. Birthdays celebrated. Races swum. Plans made. In short? Our pool has come to represent much more than a place to cool off—it’s where our communities’ spirits are truly nourished.

We now stand at a critical juncture. 16 years of use have taken its toll—the pool’s surface and tiles are in dire need of replacing—a costly endeavor. The costliest yet. Yet without it, our pool will not be sustainable or safe.

This is where it gets great. We invite you to join us for an unforgettable evening under the stars, in, on and around the pool—without water—to raise the necessary funds. Live music, fire pits, roasted oysters, incredible food, open bar and a live auction with some outstanding prizes. (Fancy a trip to the Bahamas, anyone?)

You truly don’t want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime event—and in doing so, help us renew our pool for more decades of community life and love.

Saturday, March 28th, 2015 • 5:00pm  (Rain date April 4th)

Pier Day – Spring 2014

[new_royalslider id="5"]

Photos by Patrick Winterschladen

The great Pier Day rebuild project of 2014 is done and the water and electric are working beautifully! Thanks to all the many hard workers who came out and provided HOURS and HOURS of labor to get it done! Check out these photos of the project to see the shear scale of it all! For those who haven’t seen it yet, especially at night, come check it out! And Thanks especially to Rich Mount for his diligent and thoughtful design and management of the project and to Bill Cable and his cadre of workers who spent days finishing up all the carpentry and nailing!

If you notice any issues with the water or the electric, please email Kurt Karsten at

Thanks for another great Bay Ridge community project!

2013 Children’s Holiday Party

What could be more festive? A cozy holiday gathering was held at the Bay Ridge clubhouse on a blustry, windy December afternoon–just as it has in Bay Ridge for so many decades. The kids enjoyed several craft activities including oyster shell ornament painting, sugar cone holiday trees and beaded candy canes!  Again, this year, the Annapolis Fire Department raced in with Santa aboard a fleet of firetrucks to collect toys for Santa’s Run.  The collection became so large it nearly blocked the entrance and it took several firefighters to gather them all up!  Thank you to everyone who contributed.  We would all like to thank our coordinators that made this happen for the little Bay Ridgers – Erin Jaeger, Julie Langlie, Christy O’Hare, Renee Rubin and Holly Moring.  Happy Holidays!
